Aloha Friday #11

Welcome to Aloha Friday! It's a weekly blog event that started at An Island Life where I ask a simple question, answer it, then invite you to answer it also!

I was so sad I missed Aloha Friday last week so I'm glad to be back today!

We had a great time planting flowers on Earth Day this last weekend! Mr. C took a nap and stayed home with daddy while Miss M and I went to the garden center. She was so excited to go. They have a big display with wind chimes she gets to play with when we go, and she's never gotten to pick out her own flowers before, so that was a big deal for her. We planted flowers and some mint. I liked the idea of mint because it grows fast and she can pick off little leaves without killing it. They smell good as well so it has a bit of interactive sensory-ness too.

This week's question: Did you do anything for Earth Day? Do you talk to your kids about recycling and planting trees and all that? Or is it not really something your family focuses on?

Thanks for playing!

  1. We didn't do anything, but we do talk about recycing throughout the year.

  2. We couldn't plant anything because it was cold and rainy - and we've had freeze warning since then. We usually have to wait until Memorial Day weekend before we can do any outdoor planting - so we have a delayed 'Earth Day' then. ;) We do recycle - and Princess Nagger makes sure she nags the hubby when he forgets. ;)
