What's in your Easter Basket?

I really wanted to keep the focus away from candy this year. This will be Miss M's first official Easter Basket gift and I don't want to start a trend. Since we're potty training and using small treats as rewards she's already getting a few pieces of candy a day. Not to mention it feels like birthday party season, we've had so much cake lately! When she's older I'm sure we'll start doing the chocolate bunny tradition, I always loved it, but since she's 2 she can wait ;)

Here are a few things I picked up to fill eggs and her basket this year:

  • jewelry (rings, bracelets, necklaces)
  • foam stickers
  • big beads easy for her to string later
  • a magnifying glass
  • coloring books
  • crayon rocks (I got these from a co-op at a great price)
  • a big tin piggy bank since I plan on putting coins in some of the eggs
  • slap bracelets (yeah, they still make these ;) )
  • a wire butterfly from the garden section
I'm really excited about the magnifying glass! I want to start off showing her the seedlings in the garden and see how she likes it! I'm sure I'll post about it later ;)
