Aloha Friday 5/4

TGIF!

Welcome to Aloha Friday! It's a weekly blog event that started at An Island Life where I ask a simple question, answer it, then invite you to answer it also!

My mom is here visiting and it's going to be a big trip. She's here for my graduation, May 12th, but will also be here for Mr. C's first birthday party which happens to be on Mother's Day! (I can't believe it's already been a year, last year on Mother's Day I had a baby shower :(  )

Since we moved to Hawaii, my parents, who live in Alaska, have been visiting about twice a year, which is really nice. We do some touristy things, but mostly just hang out at home with the kids. My mom and I like to watch our favorite shows together and cook/bake. My dad likes to go around my house fixing things :)

So, this week's question is...

Does your family visit often? What do you normally do when they visit? Anything special?

Thanks for playing and be sure to link up below!

  1. My family doesn't get a chance to visit since we're 3000 miles away...my parents won't fly, and driving from Seattle to PA would be too much of a haul for them - though we're going to be doing the driving to visit them next month! ;) My sister who lives in Iowa and her family have come to visit a couple of times over the years - it's when we get the chance to do the touristy stuff here locally showing them around. ;) Although I think I'd rather have my dad come fix things around the house... ;) We're usually the ones going to visit family vs. them coming here. Probably because we like getting away for a bit! :) Enjoy your visit!

  2. My family all live within 30 minutes of my home. My husband's family lives on another island (thank goodness) and do not visit often. He takes the kids over every couple of months.
