I can't believe it. It's happened. We're officially moved out.
This has been the longest week for me! We were supposed to be done with the house on Monday, but had to extend to Wednesday. This is what happened. After moving the entire house by himself, my husband had terrible muscle spasms in his back and had to go to the ER on Saturday night. I got about two hours of sleep, then spent the next day scrambling to get the house ready for Monday morning. It wasn't going to happen. I also had about a million pounds of homework due Monday at noon. Definitely wasn't going to happen. In the midst of all this, a bridge closure on Monday made it impossible to go back to our old house all day, and made traffic the next couple days simply awful. No one around here has seen traffic so bad. If you're on Oahu then I'm sure you heard about the Karsten Thot Bridge mess, and we were caught right in the middle of it!
I called housing and I emailed my professors. It took a few extra days but we're finally out of our old place! Now I just have to catch up on my homework.
Our new neighborhood is great, really remote and tiny, a nice change from where we were before. I'm looking forward to settling in here and getting the kids into some regular day care so I can actually get some school work done.
I'm also looking forward to putting time into my blog again! I've missed you all week! But I'm back. And from a much nicer location :)
