Thankvember Blog Hop Day 1

The Vagabond Studio

I joined the Thankvember Blog Hop to celebrate the great tradition of listing off one thing I am grateful for every day for the month of November. This is such a great exercise and a way to analyze life and get priorities in order :)

Every day I'll post something new I am thankful for, then link the post in the "Thankvember Blog Hop" tab above!

Today I am grateful for friends!

Things have been really hectic since September. We moved to a different part of the island, I started a Master's program at a new school online, Mr. Eight threw out his back, the kids have been sick on and off, now the holidays are coming and it's just plain crazy!

This is where the friends come in :)

There are different kinds of friends too. Online bloggy friends (yes, this is how I refer to you when I talk to my husband about my blog, Shai and Kassandra), friends from back home, military friends living in various states, military friends living here, mommy friends I've made at playgroup... and they all are awesome and important in their own way!

Each one is an opportunity to vent about my children (but never my husband, I never do that ;) ), share a vodka and coke (yes even virtually with my bloggy friends), talk about Vampire Diaries, talk politics, school.. did I already say vent about my children? ;)

I get to be on the giving end as well. Being helpful and thoughtful of others can be just as gratifying as having  someone help you. There's always someones husband who is deploying or working shifts, always someone who could use a sitter, or a gallon of milk. It's all about give and take.

So today I'm thinking about my friends, virtual and otherwise, and how important you all are to my sanity! :D

This is a blog hop! Hop around to see what everyone else is grateful for, and feel free to join in, it's not too late :)
