Thankvember Blog Hop Day 6

The Vagabond Studio

I'm grateful to all the Suffrage women in both Britain and America.

I'm grateful to the African Americans who stood in line at risk to their persons in order to vote.

I'm grateful for my parents who taught me to make educated decisions.

I'm grateful for the right to vote!

  1. It's an incredible right! It's incredibly overwhelming as I think about those who suffered and even died in order for me to have that right.

  2. Fantastic. And I agree so much with TaMara. It is unfathomable what the fight for our right to vote must have been like... it took over 70 years!

  3. I actually consider it more of a privileged and a duty than a right, for some reason. Either way, I am very thankful for the fight of generations before me to give me the ability to cast my vote, and hopefully repay them my keeping myself educated on the current issues and casting said vote based upon my informed opinion. ♥ Without them, this country wouldn't be what it is today.
