Just in time for Easter! These ornaments are easy enough for a toddler to help, but fun for all ages! (I admit I quite enjoyed painting a couple of these myself.)
You can find a recipe for the salt dough in my Salt Dough Footprints -Father's Day Gift post. Mother's and Father's Days are coming up, so keep this recipe handy! It's so versatile and great for any holiday. Just use a seasonal cookie cutter to change the shape!
Set out some paper and let your child go to town painting! My kids always end up painting naked, hence no action pictures here ;)
I first saw these salt dough eggs on Design Mom. She made some beautiful spray painted eggs and hung them on a cute egg tree. So be sure to check it out!
|I made little coin shaped ones and we tried butterfly thumbprints. This one turned out the best :)|
I'll update with a another photo after we've hung them up. I have some twine that will go perfect with these colors. Plus the kids always love looking at their own artwork :)
Did you do this? Show it off and let me know!
